Meet the team
Claire Taja
Meet the manager: the French Equestrian Expertise from France to Hallidays Point
With a lifelong passion for horses, I began riding at the age of 6 at my aunt’s riding school in France. Spending countless weekends and holidays there helped me build a deep foundation in all aspects of equestrian care and training. After completing my diploma at 18 and having my driving licence, I pursued a year-long monitorat, splitting time between an equestrian center and a training facility, while also passing my HGV tests.
My career took me to Germany, where I worked for a couple involved in breeding show jumping and eventing horses. Upon returning to France, I started my own business, competing in young and older horses where I jumped till 1.50m-level competitions with great success.
In 2019, I moved to Australia for what was supposed to be a 3-month break but discovered the local racing industry. After two years of working in a racing stable as a track rider, I decided to start my own business, collaborating with various trainers and focusing on trail rides. However, my passion for working closely with horses and riders led me to establish the Hallidays Point Equestrian Center. Now, I proudly offer a range of services to the equestrian community in Hallidays Point, Forster and the surrounding neighborhoods, sharing my expertise and love for horses.
Fun fact: my cousin, with whom I apprenticed, placed 4th individually and 3rd as part of a team at the Paris Olympics!
